Izzy Huzzey: How We Heal After Loss is Not Separate from What Comes Next
Izzy Huzzey, Founder of Intara, shared on LinkedIn:
”After pregnancy loss or birth trauma, the medical system does its job. It makes sure the immediate crisis is over. That you are stable. That you are safe to go home.
And then it steps back, and what comes next is left to you to figure out largely alone.
This is not just a problem of leaving women high and dry in their moment of need; it’s bigger than that. A body that has not properly rebuilt its strength will struggle going into the next pregnancy. A mind still carrying unprocessed grief will be less able to weather the next round of IVF. A foundation that is cracked isn’t strong enough to build on.
How we heal after loss is not separate from what comes next. It is the foundation for it, and women deserve expert support through the healing stage too.
If you work with women on their fertility journeys and would like to know more about Intara’s expert programmes, please get in touch.”
