Angela Winegar: Early Care Makes the Difference in Gestational Diabetes
Angela Winegar, Head of Healthcare Analytics at Truveta, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Fascinating new research from Truveta sheds light on how real-world care for gestational diabetes affects maternal outcomes: across 61,000 pregnancies, nearly half of patients with gestational diabetes received nutrition counseling within 45 days of diagnosis, but many started late, with 2 in 5 beginning after 30 weeks.
Those who received counseling or metformin gained 2–3 pounds less after glucose testing, highlighting the value of early, evidence-based interventions. Learn more in the full analysis.”
