Anis Feki: Exploring Sperm Health Through Antioxidant Capacity Measurement
Anis Feki, Chair of ESHRE, shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper published in Antioxidants:
“Delighted to share our new publication in Antioxidants: ‘Determination of the Antioxidant Capacity of Human Seminal Fluid Using a Fast and Accurate Electrochemical Approach.’ Many thanks to all co-authors for this excellent collaborative work: Hibaoui Youssef , Slim Khedhri, Dorothea Wunder, Josefina Vargas, Alexandre Vallée , Jean-Marc Ayoubi, and the entire team. In this study, we validate a rapid electrochemical method to quantify total antioxidant capacity in human seminal plasma, showing strong agreement with conventional ABTS/DPPH assays and demonstrating—importantly—a positive correlation with sperm concentration in a cohort of normozoospermic men. ”
