Michaela Hofbauer: 2025 Marked a Turning Point for Women’s Health
Michaela Hofbauer, Clinical Product Manager at GE Healthcare, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Looking back at 2025!
2025 brought three encouraging signals of progress in women’s health.
From new scientific insights to global access gains and breakthroughs in diagnostics, last year showed real momentum toward more equitable care.
Highlights include:
- Last year, new Oxford research uncovered shared genetic pathways between endometriosis and immune-related conditions, offering fresh insights that may shape future diagnostics and treatment.[1]
- Updated RANZCOG guidelines recognized transvaginal ultrasound as a first-line tool for endometriosis assessment — following other guidelines worldwide that increasingly position ultrasound as a core, accessible imaging method in early diagnosis.[2]
- And globally, access to modern contraception continued to grow in 2025, 77.2% of women’s needs were met, reflecting steady progress in reproductive health and autonomy.[3]
Swipe to explore the three trends that shaped women’s health in 2025.
