Edina Bajrić: EndowherAI Aims to Bridge Gaps in Endometriosis and PCOS
Edina Bajrić, Computer Science and Engineering Senior at IUS, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Did you know it takes an average of 7 to 10 years for many women to receive an endometriosis and PCOS diagnosis?
Endometriosis and PCOS are common conditions affecting the uterus and hormones that together impact around 1 in 10 women of reproductive age worldwide and can cause severe pelvic pain and fertility problems. For many of our sisters, colleagues, and friends, these years are defined by life‑disrupting pain that remains severely under‑researched, with no simple or guaranteed cure.
As we enter our final semester at the International University of Sarajevo, my team and I have decided to use our computer science graduation project to contribute to the research of these conditions. We are building a web app called EndowherAI that uses machine learning to bridge the gap between symptoms and natural remedy recommendations.
We’ve researched these topics extensively, but to train our ML model to give accurate, user-tailored results based on real trends, we need real‑world data.
We are seeking anonymous insights from:
- Women diagnosed with endometriosis and/or PCOS (your journey is our highest priority).
- Women who suspect they may have these conditions
- Women without these diagnoses (your data helps us find the statistical patterns between affected and non-affected groups)
The questionnaire is completely anonymous. We do not ask for your name, email, or contact details. It takes about 5–10 minutes, and you can choose the language that fits you best:
Please consider filling it out and/or sharing it with your friends, sisters, colleagues, and anyone who has been diagnosed or who wishes to support this research project. Every response advances women’s health research and is highly appreciated.
If you have any questions, feel free to DM me. Or email us.
