Amy Mortimer: Officially 6 Months at Care Fertility
Amy Mortimer, Clinic Director at Care Fertility, shared on LinkedIn:
Well, officially six months at Care Fertility…and I think I’m finally getting the fertility lingo under wraps.
There’s definitely been a fair bit of acronym translation along the way!
I’ve learnt so much, and there’s still so much left to learn.
Moving into fertility as a Clinic Director has been a reminder that, however much leadership experience you bring, starting somewhere new means being willing to listen, ask questions, and learn from the people around you.
For me, it’s also about staying true to who I am, what I stand for, and how I treat people.
There’s plenty to learn in a new role, but those values come with me.
There are nerves too.
When you’ve got a family to support, taking that step into a new role feels big, even when you know you’re giving it everything.
The biggest eye-opener has been seeing the incredible work the team does day in, day out.
The expertise, care and commitment that go into supporting patients through such a personal journey have given me a whole new appreciation for fertility services and everyone who plays a part in delivering them.
I can’t thank my colleagues enough for the support, patience and welcome they’ve given me over these first six months.
It’s been lovely getting to know the people behind all that expertise.
It’s absolutely flown by.
Here’s to the next six months…”
