Gabrielle Fourchon: Rethinking How We Recognize Women’s Health Challenges

Gabrielle Fourchon, Head of Communications and Public Affairs Organon Northwest Europe at Organon Northwest Europe, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Tomorrow is the Day of Action for Women’s Health.

And you may recognize it:

She is 14 years old. Her periods are painful. We tell her: it’s normal.

She is 22 years old. The migraine sets in. We tell her: it’s stress.

She is 30 years old. Designing is difficult. We tell her: relax.

She is 35 years old. The postpartum overwhelmed her. We tell her: it will pass.

She is 52 years old. Palpitations, shortness of breath. We tell her: it’s anxiety.

A woman’s health is a lifetime. Not a single moment. Not a single pathology.

  • Migraine: 3x more common in women, with a major impact on professional and personal life
  • Postpartum: 1 in 5 women affected by postpartum depression
  • Pain: a reality that deserves to be better recognized and better managed
  • Cardiovascular diseases: 1st cause of death for women in Europe, 6x more deadly than breast cancer in France.

Discover our infographic on the perception of cardiovascular risk in women at each stage of life.

Thank you to all those who make this subject progress every day: patient associations, health professionals, decision-makers, media, public voices.”
