Highlights on Infertility and Parenthood Strategies – Collectif BAMP Association
Collectif BAMP Association shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today, we were able to talk to Sarah El Haïry, the High Commissioner for Children.
This meeting was an opportunity to share our work and actions on several key issues:
- information and prevention in terms of fertility, which are essential to enable everyone to make informed choices, around our Info Fertilité programme, with Dr Maud Pasquier head of the Créteil ART centre and member of Info Fertility
- the impacts of ART pathways on professional life, which are still largely underestimated, and the possible levers of action for companies;
- the parenting support strategy, reminding us that it cannot be limited to pregnancy or the arrival of the child, but must also include those who are trying to become one.
In particular, we gave Sarah El Hairy the report of our major national study ‘Infertility, ART and work’, which documents in a quantified way the human, social and professional consequences of these pathways, as well as the concrete benefits of better support by employers.
Thank you to Sarah El Hairy for her attentive listening, the quality of the exchanges and the interest in these subjects that are still too often invisible.
Advancing collective reflection on parenthood also means recognizing all the stages of the parenting project, including those that are long, uncertain and trying.
We will continue to raise these issues with the public authorities, companies and social partners, so that infertility and ART are fully integrated into parenthood and quality of life at work policies.”
