Lucy Froese: 36 Months of Negative Pregnancy Tests and Now I’ve Had 11 Years of Being Your Mum
Lucy Froese, Fertility and IVF Coach, shared on LinkedIn:
“36 months of negative pregnancy tests.
One IVF cycle.
Two embryos transferred.
One stuck.
And today, she turns 11.
Eleven years ago today, on a Friday, our beautiful Eloise came into the world.
She was born in a calm birthing centre, with the sun shining through the window.
And after what had felt like forever wondering if I would ever become a mum, I finally got to meet the baby I had longed for for so long.
I can still remember looking at her and thinking… You’re here.
For over 36 months, I had no idea how I was going to become a mum.
I didn’t know when it would happen.
I didn’t know if IVF would be our path to parenthood, or whether it would work for us.
I just knew how desperately I wanted a baby.
And as those months and years passed, there were times I started telling myself that maybe I would never get to be a mum.
And then, there she was.
The little girl who made me one.
The little girl who, without knowing it, would eventually become part of the reason I do the work I do today.
So today is all about celebrating her.
Our gorgeous, funny, kind, beautiful Eloise.
The baby we waited so long for.
And now I’ve had 11 years of being your mum.
Happy Birthday, my gorgeous girl.”
