Marleen Temmerman: Task-Sharing of Ultrasound Shows Feasibility and Acceptability in Maternal Care
Marleen Temmerman, Professor at Aga Khan University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Must read! Task-sharing of obstetric ultrasound has the potential to operationalize the World Health Organization’s recommendation of at least one ultrasound before 24 weeks for every pregnant woman. The Mimba Yangu project provides evidence on the feasibility, acceptability, and effects of the task-sharing approach in rural Kenya. Scalability and feasibility are critical to global health but will demand policy reforms to allow task-sharing at national and sub-national levels.”
