Mofiyinfoluwa Oyegoke։ From Practicing Embryo Transfer to Seeing a Positive Pregnancy Result
Mofiyinfoluwa Oyegoke, Trainee Embryologist at Havilland Fertility Clinic, shared on LinkedIn։
“From practicing embryo transfer to seeing a positive pregnancy result – a milestone I’ll never forget.
One of the moments I had been looking forward to during my embryology training was performing an embryo transfer. I practiced. I observed. I rehearsed the steps repeatedly. I tried to prepare myself mentally for the day I would finally have the opportunity to perform one myself.
There’s something completely different about practicing a procedure and knowing that, on the actual day, there is a real patient, a real embryo, and a real possibility of helping create a family.
And then came the moment that made it all worth it…
The patient became pregnant.
Seeing that positive pregnancy result after being involved in the embryo transfer was an incredibly emotional and humbling experience. It reminded me that embryology is not just about laboratory procedures, protocols, and technical skills. Behind every embryo is a story, a hope, and a family waiting for a chance.
One milestone achieved.
So much more to learn.
Here’s to continuous learning, growth, and the privilege of contributing to the beginning of life.”
