Oluyemisi Famuyiwa։ Honored to Be Recognized at the 5th She Rises International Fundraiser and Awards Gala
Oluyemisi Famuyiwa, Medical Director at Montgomery Fertility Center, shared on LinkedIn:
“An evening of purpose, reflection, and gratitude.
It was an honor to be recognized at the 5th Annual She Rises International Fundraiser and Awards Gala.
What makes this recognition especially meaningful is the extraordinary work being done by She Rises International under the leadership of its founder, Mrs. Tinu Akinshola.
From addressing period poverty and providing maternal care kits in Uganda, to vocational training and economic empowerment for young women in Nigeria, to supporting vulnerable women here in the United States, this organization reminds us that women’s empowerment must go beyond words.
One of the most moving moments of the evening was the candlelight remembrance of lives lost to domestic violence – a sobering reminder that our work toward dignity, safety, and opportunity is far from finished.
As someone who has spent her professional life advocating for women’s reproductive health, education, and informed choices, I feel a deep connection to this mission.
Dignity is not a luxury. It is a right.
Thank you, She Rises International, for the recognition, and more importantly, for the work you continue to do.
When one woman rises, she creates a pathway for others to rise alongside her.”
