“Upcoming Pre-Health Shadowing Session – October 29, 2025
Pre-Health Shadowing is pleased to host Dr. Margaret L.P. Adam, Attending Physician at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine, for a live session next week.
Dr. Adam is a distinguished medical geneticist specializing in the diagnosis and management of infants, children, and adolescents with genetic conditions. Her expertise includes Mowat-Wilson syndrome, differences in sex development (DSD), and 22q11 deletion syndrome.
She serves as the primary geneticist in the Multidisciplinary DSD Clinic and contributes to the 22q11 Deletion Syndrome Clinic at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Additionally, she provides prenatal genetic consultations through the University of Washington’s Prenatal Diagnostic Center.
Dr. Adam’s current research involves collaborations on the Autoimmune Diseases in Pregnancy Project with the Organization of Teratology Information Specialists (OTIS) and the Collaboration to Establish the Prevalence of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders with the University of California, San Diego.
