Initial clinical findings (e.g., semen analysis results, physical examination findings) should be documented. There is no reported family history of recurrent miscarriages or known genetic conditions.
Laboratory Methods
Cytogenetic analysis was conducted on cultured peripheral blood lymphocytes using standard G-banding techniques.
Results
Karyotype: 45,XY,dic(13;18)(p11.2;q23)[20]
Description:
Analysis of all 20 metaphases revealed an abnormal male chromosome complement characterized by 45 chromosomes. The finding is a dicentric translocation involving chromosomes 13 and 18, with breakpoints at 13p11.2 and 18q23.”
