Envisioning a Future Where Every Couple Has Access to Assisted Reproductive Technology – ESHRE
European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper by Willem Ombelet et al. published on Human Reproduction Open:
“Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) is an integral part of medicine.
Infertility is a major health problem – and access to health is a fundamental human right.
While ART may still be out of reach in many low-resource settings, it is essential to envision a future where every infertile couple, no matter where they live, has access to care.
The challenge is significant, but it is one worth taking on. The authors of this article call on all of us to join in shaping a more equitable future for reproductive medicine.”
Title: Now is the time to introduce new innovative assisted reproduction methods to implement accessible, affordable, and demonstrably successful advanced infertility services in resource-poor countries
