For decades, we called it polycystic ovary syndrome.
But the more we learn about the condition, the harder it becomes to believe the ovary is the entire story.
Maybe we’ve been looking at the most visible organ instead of the deeper physiology underneath.
Part 1 of my new 4-part series explores why the emerging shift from PCOS to PMOS may represent more than a change in terminology. It may reflect a fundamental shift in how we understand metabolism, reproductive signaling, inflammation, insulin resistance, and the interconnected systems shaping women’s health.
The ovary is involved.
But it may have been disproportionately blamed.”
