Kashif Munir: Embryo Arrest in IVF, Why Development Stops and What We Can Do?
Kashif Munir, Embryologist at Australian concept infertility medical center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Embryo arrest remains one of the most challenging aspects of IVF laboratory practice. Understanding when and why an embryo stops developing is essential for improving outcomes and optimizing laboratory performance.
Factors such as oocyte quality, sperm DNA integrity, genetics, culture conditions, and laboratory environment all contribute to embryo development.
As embryologists, our role goes beyond observing embryos — we continuously analyze, troubleshoot, and refine every process to provide the best possible opportunity for success.
Every embryo deserves the best chance to grow.”
