Jennifer R. Berman։ Menopause Care Is Falling Short Because the Care Model Itself Is Fragmented…

Jennifer R. Berman, Co-Founder and Creator of The Menopause Biotype, shared on LinkedIn։

“Menopause care is falling short because the care model itself is fragmented.

A woman may see one clinician for sleep, another for mood, another for weight changes, and another for sexual health, without anyone connecting those symptoms to the same hormonal transition. Access also depends heavily on geography, clinician training, cost, and whether a woman knows which questions to ask.

That creates two very different standards of menopause care: precision and support for women who can find it, and dismissal or piecemeal treatment for everyone else.

We need better training, clearer care pathways, broader access to evidence-based treatment, and far more attention to the women who are routinely left out of the conversation.

Awareness has grown. The infrastructure has not kept pace. The next phase of menopause advocacy has to move beyond encouraging women to speak up. We need to build a healthcare system capable of responding when they do.”
