Jennifer Elworthy: It’s Good to Remember the Lighter Side of the Treatment
Jennifer Elworthy, Director of Engagement at Fertility Matters at Work, shared on LinkedIn:
“One of the weirdest compliments I had during IVF was ‘ooh, haven’t you got lovely, full veins’, and it happened at every blood test.
Honestly, I get a bit annoyed now if a phlebotomist doesn’t comment on them.
I’ve just had my flu jab, mostly because Fertility Matters at Work Mother Hen AKA Claire Ingle puts a reminder in our calendars.
Needles always make me think of my treatment, and it’s good to remember the lighter side of it. I’m a big fan of gallows humour!”
