Michael Schindler: Our Answer at MedITEX IVF – The Patient and Lab System Is the Integration Layer
Michael Schindler, CEO and Co-Founder of Nexus, Meditex, shared on LinkedIn:
“More data in the IVF lab does not solve anything on its own.
Time-lapse, witnessing, CASA, incubators, cryo management: every system in the lab captures data reliably today.
The real question is a different one.
Who brings this data together, and who makes it visible in daily routine?
Two questions follow from this:
- How do we capture and track lab data so that it stays complete, traceable and usable for analysis? Not as an export at the end of the month, but at the moment it is created.
- How does the growing number of devices, technologies and service providers relate to one another? Each standalone solution is good in itself. Together they create media breaks, duplicate entries and blind spots.
Our answer at MedITEX IVF: the patient and lab system is the integration layer.
Devices and services connect via standardised interfaces (GDT, HL7, REST, RFID), the data lands structured in one record, and from that record come witnessing, QM indicators and registry reporting.
Technology is not the same as technology. What matters is whether it works connected.
What does it look like in your lab: how many systems run side by side today without talking to each other?”
