“As an IVF specialist and reproductive endocrinologist, I believe the shift from PCOS to PMOS is more than updated terminology, it reflects a more accurate understanding of what women have been experiencing all along.
This condition was never solely ovarian or reproductive. It is deeply metabolic, hormonal, and systemic.
When we change the language, we change the lens through which patients are diagnosed, treated, and understood. And that has the power to improve care for millions of women worldwide.”
