As a physician who has spent my career helping people build their families, I think about this often.
Reproductive freedom isn’t just a policy debate – it’s the foundation that allows women to determine the shape of their own lives, careers, and health.
Every patient who walks into a fertility clinic, every person navigating a difficult diagnosis, every family built against the odds – they are living out the freedom Gloria Steinem fought to secure.
Her legacy isn’t abstract to those of us in this field. It’s the reason we get to do this work at all.
