Son Dang: Have You Ever Observed a ”Revived” Oocyte in Your Laboratory?
Son Dang, Deputy Dead of Department at City International Hospital, shared on LinkedIn:
”The ‘Revival’ of an Oocyte in IVF
Oocytes that appear degenerated after ICSI are usually considered non-viable and discarded.
However, I recently observed an oocyte that appeared degenerated, but later recovered, fertilized, and developed into an embryo.
Interestingly, this was not the first time I had previously seen a similar case that eventually developed into a blastocyst.
Should we re – check degenerated oocytes after ICSI before discarding them?
Have you ever observed a ‘revived’ oocyte in your laboratory?”
