New Study Examines the Link Between Obesity and Early Pregnancy Loss After Euploid FET

Recently, a paper by Christine Whitehead et al. has been published in Fertility and Sterility.

Emre Seli, Co-author of the study and Division Chief – Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Yale School of Medicine, shared this article on LinkedIn, congratulating the co-authors:

“I couldn’t be prouder to see this work published and, even more importantly, to congratulate the first author, Christine Whitehead, on this milestone.

The study, ‘Obesity is associated with an increased risk of early pregnancy loss after euploid frozen embryo transfer,’ was recently published in Fertility and Sterility and was honored by the journal as a Seminal Contribution.

I’ve had the privilege of working with Christine for more than a decade. She joined the team as a research nurse and went on to become Director of Research Operations, contributing to and overseeing countless clinical research studies.

Throughout that time, she has developed expertise across every stage of the research process – from study conception and protocol development to IRB submissions, patient recruitment, study execution, data analysis, and publication.

This publication also represents an important milestone in her PhD journey. I am especially excited to see someone with such comprehensive, hands-on experience in clinical research become an independent investigator. I have no doubt that, as she embarks on the next stage of her career, she will lead impactful studies that advance reproductive medicine and improve patient care.
