Chiara Innocenzi: Tumor-Targeted Fluorescent Probes Are Personalizing Oncologic Surgery
Chiara Innocenzi, Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident at Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“It was a pleasure to attend the North American Chapter Meeting of the ISFGS – International Society for Fluorescence Guided Surgery in Washington, DC, and to present our work on fluorescence-guided surgery with tumor-specific probes in gynecologic oncology.
The meeting provided an outstanding opportunity to discuss not only the expanding clinical applications of ICG across multiple surgical specialties, but also the rapidly evolving landscape of tumor-targeted fluorescent probes, which are more and more personalizing oncologic surgery.
Many thanks to the ISFGS for awarding me the travel grant: supporting residents and early-career specialists through initiatives like this is a strong encouragement for young researchers and an important investment in the future!
