Why Extending Letrozole May Improve Ovulation in PCOS? – Fertility Plus

Most people think increasing the dose is the answer.
But sometimes, the real solution is time.
In PCOS patients who don’t respond to standard 5-day letrozole:
- The issue isn’t always insufficient stimulation
- It’s often a short FSH window
By extending letrozole to 7–10 days:
- Follicles get more time to grow
- Estrogen rises later but adequately
- Endometrium develops properly
- Ovulation occurs naturally
Same drug. Better timing. Better outcomes.
