Andreas Schallmoser: Age-Dependent Differences in the Utilisation of Ovarian Tissue Cryopreservation
Andreas Schallmoser, Director of IVF-Laboratories for ART and Fertility Preservation at University Hospital Bonn and Basic Science Officer SIG Fertility Preservation at ESHRE, shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper he co-authored with colleagues published in Human Reproduction Open:
“Every child should have the opportunity to preserve their future fertility.
Our new multicentre study from University Hospital Bonn and Rhenish Friedrich-Wilhelm University of Bonn identified age-dependent differences in the utilisation of ovarian tissue cryopreservation. These findings highlight the importance of early fertility counselling and well-structured referral pathways to help ensure equitable access to fertility preservation for children with cancer, regardless of where they live.
Pleased to see this work published in ESHRE Journals of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). Looking forward to further discussions within the ESHRE SIG Fertility Preservation community.”
