SMFM Shares Updated Checklist for Low-Dose Aspirin Use in Preeclampsia Prevention
The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Prophylactic low-dose aspirin is recommended to reduce the risk of preeclampsia in pregnant persons with risk factors. Sixteen distinct risk factors are recognized, including elements of current and past medical and obstetrical history, family history, and examination findings. SMFM’s Special Statement released in February dives into the updated checklists and provides clinicians with suggested steps for implementing the checklist into routine practice.
