Devi Jyothikrishnan: Happy to Share That I Have Accepted My Place on the Scientist Training Programme in Embryology
Devi Jyothikrishnan, Laboratory Practitioner at Care Fertility Bath, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Some milestones feel bigger than words can describe.
I am incredibly happy to share that I have officially accepted my place on the Scientist Training Programme (STP) in Embryology.
It is difficult to put into words what this means to me. There were moments when I questioned whether I would ever make it into embryology, and there were setbacks along the way that made the journey feel even longer. Looking back now, every challenge has taught me something, strengthened my resilience, and shaped me into the scientist I am today.
Over the past year at Care Fertility, I have had the privilege of learning from an incredible team who have trusted me, challenged me, and invested so much in my development. I am especially grateful to Caroline for supporting my application and believing in my potential, and to my wonderful embryology team for their constant encouragement, patience and guidance.
A special thank you to Sue Montgomery and the team at CARE Manchester. Returning recently to train this year’s MSc students on the single sperm vitrification project I developed during my master’s was a true full-circle moment and a reminder of how far this journey has come.
I am excited to continue my journey with the fantastic team at Care Fertility Bath while undertaking the academic component of the programme at The Manchester Metropolitan University. I know this is only the beginning, and I look forward to learning, growing, and developing into the best Clinical Scientist I can be over the next three years.
Finally, thank you to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, and believed in me throughout this journey. I feel incredibly grateful, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings.”
