The Language Used Around PMOS Can Make Effect on Patinet Care – PCOS Awareness Association
PCOS Awareness Association shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The language used around PMOS can influence whether patients feel informed, blamed, or believed.
Words like ‘noncompliant,’ ‘just lose weight,’ or ‘it is only cosmetic’ can minimize complex symptoms and weaken trust.
Clear, neutral, patient-centered language creates room for better questions, shared decisions, and more respectful care.
Improving PMOS outcomes also means improving how we speak about the condition.
Connect and share.”
