Does Endometrial Scratching Improve IVF Success? – Fertility Plus
Fertility Plus shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Does endometrial scratching improve IVF success?
For years, a gentle ‘scratch’ of the womb lining was offered before IVF in the hope it would help embryos settle. But when researchers looked closely, the live birth rate was the same with or without it — 26.1% either way. For most women, it simply doesn’t move the needle, so it isn’t something we’d recommend as routine. The picture may be a little different for women who’ve had previous IVF cycles that didn’t work, where it’s worth a proper conversation case by case. At Fertility Plus, every recommendation you get is grounded in real evidence and tailored to you — never an add-on for the sake of it.
If you’d like, here’s a tighter version for a caption:
Does endometrial scratching improve IVF success? For most women, the evidence says no — the same live birth rate with or without it. It’s not a routine add-on, just something to consider individually for those who’ve had previous IVF setbacks. Honest, evidence-led advice is what we do best.
