Manisha Kumari: Understanding Clinical Embryology – Where Science Meets the Beginning of Life
Manisha Kumari, Clinical Embryologist at Raja Hospital, shared on LinkedIn:
”Understanding Clinical Embryology: Where Science Meets the Beginning of Life
Clinical Embryology is a fascinating field that combines reproductive biology, laboratory science, precision, and patient care.
As a Clinical Embryologist, we work behind the scenes of assisted reproductive technology (ART), where every step requires accuracy, consistency, and careful laboratory practices.
Some important areas of Clinical Embryology include:
- Oocyte identification and assessment
- Sperm preparation and semen analysis
- Fertilization assessment
- Embryo culture and monitoring
- Blastocyst development
- Embryo and sperm cryopreservation
- Embryo warming and transfer preparation
- IVF laboratory quality control
- Documentation, witnessing and traceability
Every sample, every procedure, and every observation matters in an IVF laboratory.
What makes embryology especially interesting to me is the combination of science, technology, laboratory precision and human responsibility.
I am continuously learning and developing my knowledge in Clinical Embryology, Andrology, and Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).
Learning. Practicing. Improving.”
