Alejandro Chavez-Badiola: First-in-Human Cohort – 42 Cycles Treated with Conceivable’s Automation-Assisted Systems
Alejandro Chavez-Badiola, Founder and Chief Medical and Innovation Officer of Conceivable Life Sciences and Hope IVF México, shared a post on LinkedIn about 2 papers he co-authored with colleagues published in Human Reproduction:
“The second and final paper from our IVF laboratory automation proof-of-concept study (NCT06074835) is out in Human Reproduction.
- In Part 1, we reported the first live births after sperm preparation, egg handling and ICSI ran in sequence on our automation-assisted systems.
- In Part 2, we describe five individual systems, each used on its own while embryologists handled sibling eggs alongside.
We report technical, embryological and clinical findings.
Together, the two papers give a complete outcome analysis of our first-in-human cohort: 42 cycles treated with Conceivable’s automation-assisted systems.
The systems:
- Sperm preparation by swim-up
- Sperm preparation by horizontal swim-out
- Oocyte detection and denudation
- ICSI (laser immobilisation and piezo injection)
- Blastocyst vitrification
We are grateful to Jacques Cohen and Mina Alikani for their careful guidance and supervision, and congratulate the authors and the wider Conceivable team who made this work possible.”
