Camille A. Clare: Reflecting on My 6-Month Anniversary as President of ACOG
Camille A. Clare, President of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) shared on LinkedIn:
”Reflecting on my 6-month anniversary as President of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) means a lot to be proud of, including the support of our very engaged members, hard-working staff, committed volunteer physician leaders, and initiatives that I have been able to champion, especially that of Critical Access and Rural Healthcare.
I am grateful to serve as spokesperson and ambassador and to chair our Board of Directors.
Media opportunities to speak about the importance of vaccination in pregnancy, including the maternal immunization schedule, supported by many major medical organizations, and evidence-based guidance on menopause care, including resources for patients and other clinicians in the ACOG book, ‘Menopause: What your Ob/Gyn wants you to know‘ and recent pregnancy guide, ‘Your Pregnancy and Childbirth, Month to Month: 7th edition‘ have been pivotal.
Thanks to members and the public for sharing all of the areas that ACOG may be interested in addressing, which helps us continue to provide evidence-based guidance for our members and patients, the latter via our Every Stage Health platform and patient safety organization, Quality in Action.
I have also loved the opportunity to advocate for our patients and members at several meetings this year, including the Congressional Leadership Conference, AMA, fly-ins with the Group of 6, and the state legislative Roundtable.
These are only a few highlights… More to come…”
