Chaithra S K: The Price of the Fertility Clinic Does Not Determine Outcome
Chaithra S K, Medical Director at Ovum Fertility, shared on LinkedIn:
“In a city with as many fertility clinics as Bangalore, patients are often guided by two assumptions: that the most expensive clinic must be the best, and that paying more guarantees a baby.
Both deserve a closer look.
Price does not determine outcome. What genuinely matters is the quality of the embryology lab, the clinic’s transparency, and whether patients are given an honest, realistic picture of their chances.
And no clinic can honestly guarantee a baby. A promise of guaranteed results is itself a reason for caution.
The better question a couple can ask is not ‘what is your success rate?’ but “how is that number measured, and who is it based on?”
If you are comparing clinics, speak with a fertility specialist who will be honest with you.”
