Belinda Kaskow: Nobel Prize Spotlights Tregs for Immune Balance in Autoimmune Disease

Belinda Kaskow, Lecturer at The University of Western Australia, shared a post by Cochin Institute on LinkedIn:

“The 2025 Nobel Prize in Medicine celebrates the discovery of regulatory T cells (Tregs), the immune system’s internal brakes. Their role in maintaining immune balance has profound implications for autoimmune diseases like MS, where restoring Treg function could help reinstate immune tolerance. Grateful for the scientists who paved a path toward new therapeutic possibilities.”

Quoting Cochin Institute’s post:

“The announcement of the Nobel price 2025 in Physiology or Medicine is on Tregs – reminding an amazing scientific journey that still continues!”
