Lucy Froese։ The Longer It Doesn’t Happen, the More You Start to Believe It’s Never Going To…
Lucy Froese, Fertility and IVF Coach, shared on LinkedIn:
“And the longer it doesn’t happen, the more you start to believe it’s never going to…
That maybe a baby isn’t in your future after all.
And I know from personal experience that what makes this doubly painful is looking around and feeling as though everyone – literally everyone – has a baby in tow, a bump, or both.
So you start not wanting to go out because all your friends are falling pregnant.
You can see that they so badly want to tell you and for you to be happy for them.
And you are.
You’re so happy for them.
But they know, and you know, that your happiness for them is mixed with a deep sadness for yourself.
It starts to feel as though you’re surrounded by pregnancy and constantly thinking about being pregnant, or rather, not being pregnant.
Until it reaches the point where it feels as though it’s consuming you.
If this is your reality right now, I feel you.
I’ve been you.
The constant stress and worry that you may never get pregnant can begin to affect every part of your life.
Your thoughts.
Your relationships.
The decisions you make.
How you feel about yourself and your future.
Fuelled by a feeling of failure and fed by a gnawing fear about what might, or might not, happen.
But your fear isn’t your fault.
And feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed does not mean you have caused your fertility struggles.
These feelings are an understandable response to desperately wanting something while having so little control over when, or how it might happen.
My clients often come to me already doing everything they possibly can to support and optimise their chances of becoming pregnant.
- Supplements.
- Cycle tracking.
- Acupuncture and homeopathy.
- Specific exercise routines and changes to their nutrition.
But what is often being completely overlooked is the impact the journey is having on their mental and emotional wellbeing.
Not because feeling calm can guarantee a pregnancy.
But because you deserve support with the fear, anxiety, and uncertainty, and you deserve to feel like yourself again while you continue on your path to parenthood.
If you feel as though trying to conceive is consuming your thoughts, your relationships, or your life, I offer a free, no-pressure consultation for women and couples.
It’s a private space to talk about where you are, how this journey is affecting you, and the support that could help.
DM me the word SUPPORT and I’ll send you the details to book.”
