Amitha Nanjundaiah: Should We Aim for Better Oocyte Quality or Greater Oocyte Numbers?
Amitha Nanjundaiah, Senior Consultant at Motherhood, shared on LinkedIn:
“A stimulating discussion on a question we encounter frequently in reproductive medicine: Should we aim for better oocyte quality or greater oocyte numbers?
I was pleased to participate as a panelist at the KISAR CME, ‘It’s All About Oocyte,’ for the panel discussion on ‘Clinician’s Dilemma – Better Oocyte Quality or Number?’
The session brought together different clinical perspectives on ovarian stimulation, oocyte yield and quality, individualisation of treatment, adjuvants, patient counselling and, most importantly, setting realistic expectations based on age and ovarian reserve.
Such discussions remind us that in reproductive medicine, the goal is not simply to retrieve more oocytes, but to optimise every step toward achieving a healthy pregnancy.
It was a pleasure sharing the platform with colleagues and learning from their experience.
Thank you to KISAR and the organising team for the opportunity and a wonderful academic session.”
