Did you know that the way you gave birth could impact your chances of IVF success? A study of 7,460 women in Ontario has revealed some eye-opening statistics:
Women with vaginal births had a live birth rate of 37.3%, while those who had cesareans dropped to 32.7%.
The findings showed that implantation rates, clinical pregnancies, and ongoing pregnancies all followed this same pattern. The most significant drop was seen when cesareans were performed without any labor.
What’s going on? It turns out that a tiny scar pocket can trap fluid right where the new embryo needs to settle and grow.
