Fetal Interventions Course Offers Hands-On Training in London – GEFOG Health Foundation
GEFOG Health Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Proficiency in fetal invasive procedures is not acquired through observation alone.
The GEFOG Fetal Interventions Course, organised and led by Professor Asma Khalil, was designed precisely for clinicians who recognise that gap — and intend to close it.
Under her leadership and expert guidance, this intensive two-day programme offers a rare opportunity to bridge the gap between theory and advanced clinical practice.
The Curriculum:
Over two days, participants receive structured instruction and hands-on simulation across the full range of fetal invasive procedures:
- Amniocentesis and Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS)
- Cordocentesis and Intrauterine Transfusion
- Fetal shunts
- Prenatal repair of spina bifida
- Management of procedural complications
- The programme concludes with a formal competency assessment and a certificate of attendance.
Our Partners:
Hands-on simulation stations are delivered in partnership with 开立医疗 SonoScape, ensuring access to high-end diagnostic and procedural equipment throughout the training.
Important: To guarantee individualised instruction and maximum hands-on time at every station under Professor Khalil’s team supervision, the course is deliberately limited in size.
Fewer than five places remain.
Language: English
Location: RCOG, London
Dates: 8–9 September 2026
