Lowell Ku: Honored to Have Received the 2026 Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award for Practicing Physicians from ASRM

Lowell Ku, Reproductive Endocrinology, Infertility, and Reproductive Surgeon at Dallas IVF, shared on LinkedIn:

“Some moments in your career leave you feeling incredibly humbled, and this was certainly one of them.

I am deeply honored to have received the 2026 Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award for Practicing Physicians from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).

To be recognized by an organization that has done so much to advance reproductive medicine, support research, educate physicians, and advocate for patients is an extraordinary privilege.

The ASRM Scientific Congress and Expo brings together some of the brightest minds in our field, all committed to learning from one another, sharing discoveries, and improving the care we provide to those hoping to build their families.

Receiving this award, alongside colleagues I admire and respect so deeply, made the experience even more meaningful.

Having experienced infertility alongside my wife, I know firsthand how vulnerable and overwhelming this journey can be. That experience has shaped not only why I became so passionate about reproductive medicine, but also how I approach every patient who walks through my door.

I’ve always believed that while science gives us the tools to treat infertility, compassion, empathy, and human connection are what make us better physicians.

Hearing people speak about me during the ceremony was incredibly moving. I am grateful beyond words to ASRM and the Arnold P. Gold Foundation for this recognition, to my colleagues and the entire Dallas IVF team for their dedication, and especially to my patients, who trust me with some of the most personal and important moments of their lives.

I share this honor with everyone who has taught me, supported me, challenged me, and reminded me why I love what I do.

Thank you, American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), for an unforgettable experience and for the tremendous work you continue to do on behalf of our profession and the patients we serve.

I will carry this honor, and the responsibility it represents, with me for the rest of my career.”
