“New publication:

Rethinking cervical ripening for safer inductions

Proud to share our RCT published in International Journal of Pharmacy Research and Technology.

For women with a poor Bishop score, induction can mean longer labor, more C-sections, and higher risk. We tested if combining methods could change that.

Dinoprostone + Laminaria vs Dinoprostone alone. N=146

The results were clear:

  • 35% fewer C-sections: 15.1% vs 30.1%
  • 22% more vaginal deliveries: 84.9% vs 69.9%
  • 3.5 hours faster from induction to delivery
  • Significantly better cervical ripening with no increase in maternal or neonatal complications

Takeaway: A simple combination of mechanical + pharmacological ripening can make induction safer, faster, and more successful for women with unfavorable cervices.
