Rajeev Agarwal: 10 Years of Infertility, Yet They Didn’t Need IVF

“10 years of infertility. And they conceived without IVF.
What changed?
Not an advanced procedure. We simply went back and addressed the basics.
Rohini had PCOS, very irregular cycles, a higher BMI and metabolic dysfunction. Her B12 was extremely low, and she had never undergone a tubal patency test.
Rahul had severe teratozoospermia, with 99% abnormal sperm morphology, which had never been addressed.
So despite 10 years of infertility, we spent two months preparing them before fertility treatment.
For Rohini, we focused on nutrition, weight and resistance training, insulin resistance, myo-inositol + D-chiro-inositol, metformin and correcting deficiencies.
For Rahul, GeneAndro helped individualise his treatment with preconception supplementation, CoQ10, vitamins C and E, and hormonal optimisation with letrozole.
After confirming that Rohini’s tubes were open, we used simple letrozole ovulation induction.
She conceived in the very first cycle.
The lesson? 10 years of infertility does not automatically mean IVF.
Duration tells us something needs to be investigated. It doesn’t tell us which treatment the couple needs.
- Evaluate both partners.
- Improve metabolic health.
- Correct what can be corrected.
- And choose the simplest treatment that can reasonably work.
