”What happens when you get a Clinical Geneticist and a CREI Medical Fertility Director together to discuss Genetic Technology in the Reproductive space – insightful and real-world case discussions that hit with impact.

Tonight Dr. Tamara Hunter and Professor Martin Delatyki discussed 3 of Tamara’s real case studies and the options couples faced, including the dilemma of embryo testing and supportive counselling to decide which genetic tests were appropriate, which were effective and which cases resulted in devastation.

The message was clear for all the GPs – the discussion of embryo testing for genetic disorders on the fertility journey is worth it.

Testing with the right lab can determine inherited disease states and what action we should take as Specialists when the genetics doesn’t lie. Some of the case studies were heartbreaking but the authenticity of the panel discussion was phenomenal.
