“AJOG Expert Review in Cesarean: Essential anatomical knowledge for performing routine and complex cesarean delivery – Lateral hysterotomy tear

Anterior view of the uterus. A lateral edge hysterotomy can produce an undetected laceration of the uterine artery or its branches. The injury may occur posterior to the round ligament and between the 2 layers of the broad ligament.”
