Platelets Reduce Oxidative Stress Damage in Human Endometrial Stromal Cells in Vitro – RBMO

“This new study into human endometrial stromal cell damage, published in the Experimental Reproductive Biology section of our June issue, shows that platelet concentrates can alleviate oxidative damage in T-HESC in vitro by reducing ROS accumulation, improving inflammatory balance, and reducing the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio.
Importantly, the authors found that activation of the PI3K/AKT signalling pathway can mediate this protective effect, representing a potential mechanism underlying the therapeutic benefits of platelet concentrates in treating endometrial injury and ameliorating thin endometrium.
