Reproductive Outcomes for Same-Sex Couples Explored – JAMA
JAMA shared a post on LinkedIn:
“A new study published in JAMA examined reproductive outcomes for same-sex female couples using reciprocal versus autologous IVF.
After adjustment for key clinical factors—including patient and partner age, infertility diagnosis, and use of preimplantation genetic testing—there were no significant differences between the two groups in rates of clinical pregnancy and live birth.
The adjusted risk ratios for clinical pregnancy and live birth indicate broadly equivalent outcomes.
These findings confirm reciprocal IVF as a clinically effective option for family building among same-sex female couples, with outcomes comparable to those of autologous IVF.
