Diana Kayal: Why So Many People Postpone their 1st Fertility Appointment for Months
Diana Kayal, Reproductive Endocrinologist and IVF Specialist at FertiClinic PRC Fertility Centre, shared on LinkedIn:
”So many people postpone their first fertility appointment for months because they are not sure what to expect, and they are afraid of what they might hear.
I understand that making the decision is not easy; this is why today I’m going to tell you what actually happens on your first appointment.
Think about it as a conversation. The first time is more about listening and understanding your case to be able to pick the proper treatment.
We will definitely talk about testing for both you and your partner.
After that, we can build a plan, and it doesn’t need to start on the same day.
What is required of you?
You just have to be ready with your questions. I always tell my patients to write down every question that comes to mind before they come to the clinic.
If you or anyone you know is considering doing IVF, send them this post; they might be worried about their first appointment.”
