Joyce Harper: It Was a Pleasure to Give 2 Talks Celebrating World Menopause Day
Joyce Harper, Professor in Reproductive Science at UCL, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Yesterday it was a pleasure to give two talks celebrating world menopause day. To a building society and Netball England.
And to attend Lavina Mehta MBE’s menopause party.
So many fabulous women. There was a lot of love in the room.
I also attended a play about infertility – Hey Baby – which was so moving. Many of us were crying. The sentence that got me was: I’ll never tell someone that I’ll always be there for them. I tell my kids this all the time.
Thank goodness Hannah Vaughan Jones was there to hold my hand. And a pleasure to be on the panel to discuss the play with the writer Emma Hewitt – Hemingford and, Zeynep Gurtin, Dr. Lucy van de Wiel and Giulia Cavaliere whose work was used to create the play.”
