Updated NICE IVF Guidance Contrasts with Declining NHS Support – HFEA
Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“NICE – National Institute for Health and Care Excellence has published its updated guidance on the assessment and treatment of infertility, recommending that three full cycles of IVF should be offered to women under 40 if they have fertility problems and meet certain criteria.
However, we know that NHS-funded cycles continue to decrease, and that this is being compounded by the fact that many ICBs do not follow NICE guidelines when it comes to funding.
